Press Release: Zero Doubt Kitchen Named Official Caterer of the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland

Long-term partnership brings fresh, chef-crafted, nutrition-conscious meals to The Center's programs and staff every week, and extends to the LGBTQ+ Heritage Day celebration on October 8

Zero Doubt Kitchen has signed a long-term partnership to become the official caterer of the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland. Each week, ZDK now prepares fresh meals for The Center's Rainbow Pioneers, Trans+, Trans+ East, and Queer Youth Initiative (QYou) programs, along with meals for staff.

Founded in 1975 as the GEAR Foundation, Cleveland's first LGBTQ+ community organization, The Center is one of the oldest LGBTQ+ community centers in the country. For more than 50 years it has been a place of advocacy, care, and belonging for Northeast Ohio, from Rainbow Pioneers, its community for LGBTQ+ adults 50 and older, to QYou, its home for LGBTQ+ youth.

For many participants, the meal they receive through a Center program is one of the most important parts of their day. Some face food insecurity. Others manage dietary needs and medical conditions that make finding food they can actually eat a genuine challenge. The Center wanted those meals to be more than sustenance. It wanted food people could look forward to.

Before choosing a partner, The Center's team visited ZDK's kitchen to meet the staff, tour the operation, and taste the food, weighing whether one company could truly meet the needs of such a diverse community. What they found were fresh, chef-crafted meals made with non-GMO ingredients and without processed seed oils or artificial preservatives, built on balanced macronutrients, with options for a range of dietary needs including gluten-free and vegan. ZDK's culinary team works alongside co-founder Inga Golubitsky, RN, BSN, a certified nutritionist, to build meals that are as thoughtful as they are delicious.

"Inga, Jeremy Torchinsky and I started this company to prove that eating clean doesn't mean giving up the food you love," said Eric Golubitsky, co-founder of Zero Doubt Kitchen. "For some of the people The Center serves, this may be the only meal they have that day, and that's a responsibility we carry into the kitchen every morning. We believe every meal should taste incredible, nourish the body, and remind someone that they matter."

The early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Center staff say the meals are easy to serve and stay fresh throughout the week, participants love the variety, and seniors have been especially happy to have meals that fit their dietary and medical needs. In one case, a participant who had struggled for months to find food their body could handle was finally able to eat.

"It is a little hard to explain just how big of a win that is for us at The Center," said Alyssa Roberts, Program Manager at The Center.

"The meals are healthier, and it feels more family-style, which I think works really well for our programs and participants," said Jory Hopper, Community-Based Program Manager at The Center.

The partnership extends beyond weekly meals. On October 8, Zero Doubt Kitchen will cater The Center's LGBTQ+ Heritage Day awards celebration at Cleveland Play House's Allen Theatre in Playhouse Square, an annual event honoring leaders who have strengthened Cleveland's LGBTQ+ community in areas from advocacy and health to arts and workplace inclusion.

"The Center has spent more than 50 years building a home for this community, and Gulnar, Alyssa, Jory, and the whole team carry that forward every day," Golubitsky added. "We're honored to have a seat at that table. Our dream is simple: anyone who walks through The Center's doors should know a great meal is waiting for them, made by people who care. This is just the beginning of what we can build together."
